Finally I decided to check out "what lay below"... Yes there was a rhizome with what appears to be a viable shoot. So I cleaned all the other crap out and replanted. Only time (many, many months already passed?) will tell.Many months later and this pathetic plant is still alive but in an extreme state of suspension over its predestined grave??? Perhaps it is only my thoughts... willing it to survive that is delaying the inevitable?My frustration is extreme! As I purchased a pound of rhizomes from another site claiming them as useful for growing out as well as eating! I am so very gullible... when I got these rhizomes they appeared to have had all the "eyes" removed... I refused to believe that the seller would do such a thing... yet after several months most have rotted and still NO NEW GROWTH!Now this supposed live/healthy growing plant is still doing almost nothing after several months!Buyer beware!!!! Viable plants/seeds/etc online REALLY SUCK!!!Now three weeks later with all the heat, still protecting this plant from full sun there is still no new growth! Only a part of one leaf of the original three leaves remains!!!
