They make a horrible mess. I ran a polypropylene rope along the perimeter of the netting and installed it on the doors. You can hardly see it and it allows the air flow to come through unrestricted. I had bought the previous netting from Bird B Gone and it was cut to length. When stretched it did not measure out to the proper size. The product comes shrunk and has to be stretched. I believe my previous order from Bird B Gone wasn't cut properly or it isn't shrunk evenly so when it is cut it may not be a square end. Both ends went to a point leaving me with less useable material. Of course they blamed me for not stretching it properly. Huh? The salesman said they get lots of complaints like this but they don't do anything about it. Are they 1 inch?** A: I believe mine is 3/4" possibly 1/2". It is really stretched out. For sure it is not 1". Mine is very heavy duty! It is perfect for my birds because we have a major raptor problem. It holds up in all the storms including winter snow. Birds have not tangled in it. The smaller holes also help keep out sparrows. **Q: Can this netting be used to cover blueberry bushes? Does it snag easily?** A: We are using to cover strawberries and it is not snagging the plants. Also does not cling to itself when pulled back over itself (if that makes sense!) Take seriously that it is a challenge to stretch netting to its 25X25ft size! **Q: Can this netting be used as netting for a batting cage?** A: NO, its not strong enough for a batting cage. It's a nice net for bird netting and I used it to cover my pond & water fall. **Q: When installed, do the netting holes align in rectangular or diagonal pattern?** A: Rectangular, but I did find the net I received was more a parallelogram than a rectangle. This seems to be common complaint and I don't want to even ask how... Luckily I had a large field I could spread the net out. The net is not a perfect square and more like a hexagon. Width shrinks near the ends. The net did not fit as I measured for a perfect 25’ x 25’. Second is this net is advertised as HEAVY DUTY. This net is very thin. I could be wrong on this one but doesn’t seem heavy duty to me. Varmints can chew through this very easily.
