## Description

It has long spines and a branched fruiting body. The fungus is 15-30cm (6-12”) across. It is a tightly branched structure which develops from a rooted base. When young, before the branches have developed, it might be confused with Hericium erinaceus (which is also edible).

Review: None of the cultures were viable - I've bought from this supplier before, with good results. This time, with 6 different cultures, none of them developed. It was Spring, so weather during delivery can't be the cause. Also, I've been raising mushrooms for years, and doubt I screwed up all 6. I've seen other similar complaints, so proceed with caution.

**Q: How many 5lb bags will this inoculate?**
A: First inoculate a qt. Jar of sterilized water with a couple drops of molasses. And sterilize the empty syring. Wait a couple weeks and you can inoculate 100 bags of grain

**Q: Can i plant (innoculate) a log in my back yard? with Lion's main**
A: You could, but would probably have a higher success rate if you grow it indoors. It can take a year or better outside, depending on conditions in your area, if at all. Good luck!

**Q: Are these bisporus (button/portobella) strains the same?**
A: Yes it is, "agaricus bisporus" is specific. I don't know why the seller would say otherwise.

**Q: Are the liquid cultures of isolates / monocultures, or are these multi-spore cultures?**
A: All of our cultures are monocultures, not multi-spore cultures.
