Each section opens up well. I don't get why you would have a USB cable and headphone jack socket going from a internal compartment to an external socket. If your going to put your phone inside, you would connect any extra battery directly to the phone and put both inside the bag surely and use the phone's bluetooth for the headphones. 3 compartments and only 1 lock! The 3 digit lock that comes with the bag seems very poor quality, the numbers on the dials are very small and difficult to read, I'm sure even a small pair of pliers could break the locking bar.
