## Description

From the manufacturer How does the Neapolitan coffee maker work? To open the coffee maker, lift the spout part upwards holding the other (C). Take out the filter group (A+B); unscrew the filter (A) and fill the jacket (B) with the coffee powder. Screw the assembly back. Fill the chamber (c) up to about 1/2 cm from the hole with water and re-insert the filter group ensuring that the notch on it is aligned with the hole. Insert (like a lid) the part equipped with a spout. Put the coffee maker on the fire (chamber C must be on the flame) Once boiling, steam (and a few drops of water) will come out of the hole. Remove the coffee maker from the heat (1) and turn it upside down (2) holding it firmly by both handles. Wait for 3 minutes: the water from the chamber will percolate on the ground allowing coffee to be extracted. Serve by repositioning the lid!

Review: Ilsa 3-cup Diamante Napolitana - I received the 3-cup size Ilsa Diamante Napolitana which is reasonably well made and durable. There is the bottom container, coffee filter section and a top pourer section and a lid for that pourer section. Check all sections for black oil. I found some inside the lid which had to be cleaned. Warnings to start with: This is made from aluminium so if you use a strong smelling detergent such as washing up liquid to clean it, it will take on the smell and taste of the detergent. Use plain water and kitchen roll to clean it. Secondly all parts get very hot during use. I find turning it upside down easier with the handles at a right angle rather than aligned and I additionally wear household rubber gloves. Using 12g Lavazza Qualita Rossa coffee beans ground to medium, 235ml water and 75ml milk provides me with a nice milky breakfast mug of coffee. However getting a good personal coffee will be trial and error. But this coffee-making method really brings out the flavour of robusta in the blend so if not liked perhaps a 100% Arabica blend will be more suitable. In use some coffee dust gets into the pot so I find allowing the coffee to settle before pouring eliminates most of the dust in the cup but not all of it. Overall, for an Italian method a Moka Pot is easier to use but where the Napolitana method scores is that the quantity of coffee can be adjusted whereas in a Moka pot it can't. Lastly throw away the first two to three brews to break it in.
Review: Italians know best!-) - Makes a surprisingly good cup of coffee. I come from an Italian family, so I've seen these used a lot, but never seen them in shops; glad desertcart was able to provide one for me. I'm definitely going to get the next size up too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Italians know best!-)
*by M***S on 4 July 2017*

Makes a surprisingly good cup of coffee. I come from an Italian family, so I've seen these used a lot, but never seen them in shops; glad Amazon was able to provide one for me. I'm definitely going to get the next size up too.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Smaller than expected but fits together well
*by V***S on 29 December 2019*

I was expecting something larger: the 1-2 cups are espresso cups, (but that's on me). Max volume of water is under 200ml. A smidge overpriced for the overall size and quality of materials, but well made and all the parts fit together snugly. First cup went ok, but need to make a few to get rid of the new maker taste and get the grind right. (Banana for scale)
