The cane bolt that I got had an extra piece to mount on the gate that holds the bolt in the open position, a hanger of sorts. Other cane bolts have little tabs on the bolt itself that hold it in the up position with a quarter twist. I prefer the simpler design with the fewer parts. So that was a little annoying and why I gave it only 4 stars. Other than that it is a good piece of gate hardware. I think the seller should clarify the product with a better picture or include the installation instructions in his presentation.
