After reading a different sleep training book I was disturbed by the advice but still needed to figure out how to get my little ones naps to lengthen and help her connect sleep cycles during night time as well. So I got this book. It did little other than make us feel confident in our already chosen choice to bed share. It basically just goes over all the reasons you should simply hold your baby for all naps and allow to nurse all night. Up until 6 months old, I have been fine with that but at this point, I can't continue to function like this. ### ⭐⭐ Misleading... *by T***I on Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2019* Initially I liked this book, although it made me terrified of using the “cry it out” method. Dr sears seemed to use real scientific evidence and research to support his claims. HOWEVER. I then read the book “Healthy Sleep Habits” by Dr Weissbluth, who bluntly demonstrated that all of the “evidence” put forward by Dr Sears is actually misleading, and not accurate. He writes that Dr. Sears misused published studies, points out exactly how Dr sears used them to mislead you, and then has a long list of documented published studies that were actually done on infant/toddler sleep. If you value fact over misleading information, then just get Dr Weisbluth’s book. I’ll be returning this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fascinating Read!! *by E***N on Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2017* I never review anything. However, this book is essential for any new mom. I'm a ftm to a 3.5 month old. I was completely burnt out everyone kept telling me to use the cry it out method. I knew in my gut it wasn't right for myself or my son. In a desperate attempt to find a solution I found this book. I am so glad I did. We are now a happily co-sleeping family (you will actually get more sleep sleeping this way) with a very involved daddy.
