**Q: Can this be used to extend the length of my dc power supply cable on my 1000w amplifier for a utv speaker system**
A: Max safe distance of 12volts ac/dc of 18 gauge wire is 10ft.  If your going to power a 1000w amp you need 4 gauge wire. 18 gauge wire is good for low voltage lights, not powering or extending the length of the power cord for a 1000w amplifier.

**Q: Why is the max voltage for the 18G wire only 12V when their thinner 22G wire can handle up to 24V?**
A: 18AWG wire can handle upto 48v, however for safety and stablity consideration, we suggest not to work more than 24v, better upto 12v.

**Q: Will this work for home thermostat application?**
A: Certainly.

**Q: Will this work for doorbell?**
A: Yes it will. I used this wire to replace the wire to my doorbell and it works just fine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked perfect as an extension for LED Xmas lights!

I bought this roll of wire to create an extension cord for our Christmas Star LED lights. In the past, we would normally just run a regular orange extension cord. But with these new lights, they have a box and a remote that allows us to change the color/style of the lights. I didn’t want this box to be subject to the weather, and to be close enough so the remote would work. So I made an extension cord from this wire between the lights and the control box, using crimp connectors and heat-shrink tubing to protect the connection. It worked like a charm, and the wire disappears in the grass for the most part. I like the red wire because it’s easy to find when I’m looking for it, but to the casual observer it’s not visible. I knew LED’s pulled very minimal power, so I was pretty sure this wire would be sufficient for the distance we needed. It worked great and was a cheap modification to make. It will stay coiled up on the star until we need it next year.
