One of the OEM shocks had started to fail which meant it wasn't lifting the back entirely. Not quite to the point where it wouldn't go up at all, but certainly lost its "oomph".I snapped off the old ones after loosening the retaining collar, put these new ones in and popped the collar in place, and boom, done.For the install itself, since I didn't have a helper, I used a 2x4 scrap of wood that was long enough to reach from the ground up to the fully extended rear door. At one point I did accidentally bump the wood and dislodged it but since I was doing just one at a time, the force of the door hitting me on the head wasn't too bad. :) Just be smart about it and have someone assist by holding the door up or do a better job than I did of propping it in place, and do one at a time "just in case".The new ones have been working great. Less noisy than the old ones, I think, and they do a full extension to raise the door all the way unlike the old ones so they're handling the load just fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to Install *by P***. on September 28, 2024* Have been working great.
