It’s big with plenty of pockets. My 5th grader is not using all of them at this time. They maybe more useful in middle school? The straps feel sturdy and the bag has lots of room (and pockets). There are two side pockets so water bottles can go on either side. The material feels strong and easy to clean. The zippers do feel a bit delicate and I was worried about them not lasting, but the customer service seems good (as someone else mentioned in their review) and I do feel comfortable that if there are issues they will take care of them.
