This twine absolutely reeks of gasoline(?). It's like the manufacturer marinated it in a tank of gas. I even left it outside on my balcony in the sun, wind, and rain for two solid weeks in hopes that it would dissipate the aroma but nope. It still smells just as strong. I've had hot used car oil pour down my arm, and it didn't smell nearly this punchy.Why does this smell like oil? I have no idea. But that's a huge red flag. Reading other reviews, it seems like some people got the oily smell and others did not. I guess I just got one of the bad ones because mine really reeks.Second, while this twine is pretty, it's not at all strong. To be fair, the seller does describe this as being about 1mm, so I should have probably realized how weak it would be, but I'm not really sure what "gardening applications" you would use this for. It broke pretty quickly when I used it outdoors. Maybe if you just want to hold one individual part of one plant?I'm not really sure what this is for. There's no way I'd use this for a craft project because of the smell. And it's not very durable as far as outdoors stuff goes.
