Interior solvent free wood stain colours can be used on all joinery, window frames, doors, door frames and of course floors, as well as kitchen units, worktops, tables, chairs, furniture, cupboards etc. Easy to use, wipe, brush, or spray, fast to apply, fast to dry. Before applying, it is important to ensure the wood surface is free of previous finishes and imperfections by sanding with the grain. Wood must be clean, dry and dust free. Simply shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure pigment dispersal, then add contents to a suitable container and apply using a brush, lint free cloth or sponge. Coverage is excellent, being between 7 and 10 square metres per litre, depending on the moisture content and porosity of the wood. Drying time is fast. Normal drying takes around 1 hour, depending on weather conditions. Clean up could not be more simple. Just use soap and water. Finish by sealing the stain with wax, oil, water based lacquer or varnish. Very easy to apply, and to wash up after.It's quite thin, so a little goes a long way - I'd recommend doing several light coats rather than slapping loads on at once.I think it will need a protective clear coat or probably will get scuffed easily.Also, don't panic when you're apply it - mine looked almost purple and I was a bit concerned, but it dried a lovely shade. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ it has given a lovely finish and I am delighted with the results *by M***R on 19 June 2018* This is very thin and item you are working on will need two coats. However, it has given a lovely finish and I am delighted with the results. It is important to prepare the wood properly and get rid of any old varnish. I didn't do this as well as I should have done but it has still covered ok and I really love the two tone effect it gives of the grey colour with wood showing through. I put a clear wax on once dry just to protect it, as the instructions suggested..In my view an excellent product and good value with clear instructions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good stain *by G***K on 26 April 2020* Initially I didn't like this. I tried it on the underside of the table (unsanded and unprepped) and it looked like paint rather than stain - a dull thick grey. But when I used it on the properly sanded prepped table top it was a lovely colour. Other reviewers say it's thin - it is, but that's the nature of stain. It's not meant to be paint.
