They have two screws for each leg/shelf connection, which makes it really sturdy. The holes were predrilled, and it was really easy to put them together. They hold most of our dishes. I think our bowls might be a bit tall since only 7 or 8 fit, but it is fine because rarely are all the clean dishes in the cupboard. It is a great height otherwise.
