I wore a t-shirt and long underwear beneath and stayed perfectly comfortable the whole time. My son has one of these too, and he just wore a t-shirt underneath and he was also warm and comfortable the whole time. Be sure to wear gloves if it's really cold out...this jacket's pockets are not lined to keep your hands warm. Front chest pocket is functional, we kept the rfid lift ticket in it and it worked great. The string that tightens the hood broke on me after day 1, but is still mostly functional.
