Review: It does what it's supposed to! - The pole is certainly doing what I wanted by opening and closing a velux window at the top of the stairs which is just out of my reach. The telescopic section does come undone though from time to time so needs an extra twist to retighten.

**Q: Are these from China?**
A: Aren’t most things these days

**Q: I have managed to open and shut the window but I can't turn the handle. Does this pull & push only? No locking?**
A: I dont quite understand question. I use to hook into my velux windows. Then either push or pull the windows open. To lock or unlock I just added extra pressure  and it work. There is no twisting turning of the pole.  The pole itself turns to extend the length and you turn at the joint to tighten the pole, but mine is poor at producing a solid tight connection and often the pole does slide down. I hope this helps. If not sorry.       Stay safe well positive and at peace.

**Q: how do you tighten the two parts so they are secure? twist something?**
A: I also found it awkward but you need to pull out to full length and hold 1 section and twist the other. Hope this works.

**Q: is this good for side windows meaning wall windows thats high to reach ? someone please help "**
A: I think it depends on how the window opens. if it works the same as Velux openings it might work as the pole grips the opening handle but not sure.

It's fine, opens well can be clumsy as the head is huge on it and the hook on top can get stuck on things. Closing windows is tricky as the pole collapses but it works.
