**Q: What kind of stainless steel is this made from?**
A: I believe it’s 316

**Q: Can I use this with my plate chiller to cool the incoming tap water with an ice bath in a 5 gallon bucket?**
A: Not really. This works by exchanging the heat in the wort when the coil in submerged in the hot liquid. This will however replace the ice bath all together. I chill wort from 200 degrees to 70 in about 15 minutes. Results will vary a little depending on the temperature of your tap water.

**Q: Is the outside diameter of the coil exactly 9.00" or is it smaller/bigger than 9.00"? My 8 quart kettle is 8.70" I wonder if I can squeeze it in.**
A: Mine is 9 1/8" to 9 1/4" on the outside...

**Q: Has anyone been able to order this without the long necks at either end of the coil?**
A: This particular unit is made to he submerged in a wort pot with hoses at the top, so unfortunately no.
