You would need a different locker for the rear Dana 35 in your YJ but i would personally not put an auto locker in it. This will pop considerably on pavement in your rear diff. I have it in my front and it behaves like an open diff when in 2wd. It locks up in 4wd and becomes stiffer to steer but climbs rocks much better. I have the D-30 front. **Q: Does this locker make noise on tight turns?** A: Yes, all lunch box type lockers make a clicking noise on turns. On slow tight turns you may occasionally hear and feel a loud banging. I have this locker in my front D30 and while turning into a parking space I turn slowly and don't accelerate while doing this type of turning. The cross pin wouldn't slide out past the ring gear so pulled the carrier out and ring gear off. Would've been nice to have a big bench vice to put the carrier in to torque the ring gear bolts back down, but I made it work. Product works just as described. It rained the day after install, so I got a chance to see the rain characteristics. Just be careful is all I can say, I knew it would in-gauge on corners under throttle, so I was ready for a slide but it didn't slide as much as other lunchbox lockers I've installed.
