It appears that it was but the company had the software pulled back in so that the costumer is forced to buy it from the manufacturer for $50. And apparently it can only use a specific programming cord.I contacted the manufacturer's costumer support and have not heard back.Do not buy this radio! I returned the 889G immediately once i learned all this information. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great HT..... *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2020* Great HT.......Easy to program manually just remember a few menu #'s and your in business. I'm NOT A COMPUTER GUY...999 memories, all my amateur bands, marine frequencies, MURS and FRS and several others with room to spare. Loud speaker easy to read color screen, and yes you can program the display to stay on contrary to other post (read the Manuel smart guy) Battery life is good even on high power. I haven't seen 10 watts yet, but almost, well over 8watts still very good for an HT. I checked the GPS on the HT with my Garmin, Other than the last number in the coordinates it was the same so it appears to be working fine.
