I did that to ours and it completely ruined the letters. They stuck together and melted onto each other. Had to pull them apart as carefully as i could, but even doing that some parts just ripped right off and now there are black spots in part of the letters.My wife was pretty bummed out about this especially since we don't see anything on the shirt that says not to wash and dry it. It’s just a giant, wide shirt that doesn’t cover your belly. Nothing like the picture, a much brighter red instead of the nice looking crimson color of the picture. I bought an XXL since I usually wear a large or extra large in maternity shirts and I wanted to make sure it fit. But yet again, it’s WAY too wide and much too short, which means my belly hangs out the end. The neckline isn’t even the pretty scoop neck in the picture, just a big crew neck. Normally long-sleeved shirts aren't long enough in the sleeves for me, but this is a great length. I'm 5'8". I haven't washed it yet, but after reading other reviews, I'm not planning to put it in the dryer for fear of the print being ruined. I'm only giving it 3 stars because:1. This is NOT a maternity shirt. It is not ruched on the sides or fitted in any way to accentuate a baby bump. It runs on the larger side, so if you want a more fitted look to your bump, go with your normal size or even 1 size smaller than your pre-pregnancy size.2. The color is a TRUE RED, not a dark red as pictured.3. The description calls this a "raglan" tee; however, what you get is NOT a raglan tee. The stitching where the sleeves meet the shirt come straight down from the shoulder.
