The problem with other dental floss which are like thread is that if you have to pull hard to get it between your teeth, it snaps against your gum and can cut your gum. This plastic material will not do that. If you need a little force to get it between your teeth and it snaps against your gum, it will not cut you're a gum. That's a big advantage. The tape easily glides between teeth and grabs the surfaces each tooth for a nice cleaning job. It reminds me of how efficiently and well dentist hygienist do it at the dental office. This dental tape does not at all feel like a sharp fishing line, so it feels much easier on the gums, and even lips and fingers. It also does not slip from the fingers, thus minimizing the amount of tape one needs to pull out to wrap around one's fingers. I do wish, however, it were slightly less expensive, especially since it's just a refill without the cartridge. Nonetheless, we will definitely buy again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Listerine floss refill minty thin elastic material for tight fitted teeth 270 feet *by C***W on February 17, 2025* I don't know what it's made of but it is a thin and rubbery elastic string that stretches and fits between my teeth better than regular floss and gets more grime off for me than gentle glide floss does. I have tight-fitting teeth and this stuff does not usually get stuck it can spread or fall apart at times but not as frequently as fiber and does not leave pieces of that shred fiber behind that I can feel for hours later trying to pick at it and get it out. That is so annoying. I decided to look up a bulk buy, and there are dispensers you can buy for this to put it in, mine is white and almost triangular in shape. The holder can get gunked up with wax so once in a while you will need to take it apart and wipe that off, then put it all back which is easy to do. This is normal. I had an issue with my first refill toward the end where it would get stuck when I was pulling some out and had to open it and fix it. Again not a big deal to me, I am frugal and rather buy bulk and save money doing so than buy small disposable packs and keep throwing them out which is not good for the environment. Some recycling places don't accept all plastics either. You can find the dispenser usually just below the pictures that says frequently bought together, it should show up so you don't have to spend a lot of time looking. You only have to buy that one time, and then refill as often as you need. One refill lasts me 10-12 months for personal use. If you share it and others use it daily the amount and frequency will vary. It is small enough to travel with, but I have a small pack for that handy.
