I use heated caps for deep conditioning treatments and also to process my hair colors when I dye my hair. When I received it, it arrived in a box with a bag holding the cap. I like that the material is almost satin-like and doesn't seem to hold smells, as my previous one was a Terry cloth material and held every smell around it. At first the cap was hard to get on over my head and a shower cap, but after some adjusting it worked. I heated mine up for 90 seconds according to the package and after 50 minutes of it being on with a deep conditioner it was still holding heat. A downside would be the gel seemed to sit on the top of my head which tends to get too hot so I had to move it around to distribute the gel to other areas of my head. The other downside would be if my head was a bit bigger or if I had more hair, this probably would not have fit my head. My hair is a little past shoulder length when curly and I seemed to tug a little bit to get it over my shower cap and my hair. I ended up having really moisturized hair which resulted in an amazing wash and go.
