Review: Wow! It works! - I did a lot of research on vinyl record cleaners and I narrowed it down to this record friend by Big Fudge and the Spin Clean. The name Big Fudge got to me immensely. I mean, how can you pass up a name like Big Fudge? Seriously though, I wasn’t going to spend $ 400+ on the motorized VPI types of clean machine, so that left me with the manual kind. The deal breaker was that the Fudge ( love calling it that), has this ingenious record drying rack built into the bottom of the well built unit. Fudge also come with 2 150ml bottles of cleaner, and extra drying cloths Oh, it’s also ten dollars less than spin clean. Anyway, this thing really works, and works well. I had picked up Time Out by Dave Brubeck at a used record store that was pretty noisy. Well, it’s from 1959, so what did you expect? I filled up the basin of the Fudge with distilled water ( must use it ) put the cleaning pads and rollers in, put three capfuls of the cleaning fluid in, then the record, rotated 3 turns in one direction and 3 in the other direction, wiped with the included cloth, let it dry on the rack, and put it on my turntable. Wow! What a difference. I had played this album when I first bought it , and there was a lot of surface noise, a real lot. But now, after the Fudge treatment, it really sounded great. This unit will not return your vinyl to near mint condition, but at will take a VG to a VG+ or a G to a VG. It really works. It’s well worth it. So if your on the fence about which one to purchase; get off the fence and buy the Big Fudge record friend So 2 days later I see the price dropped. Bummer; I call and was connected to a very nice customer service person and she arranged a credit. Thanks desertcart

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not perfect but Works

The Big Fudge cleaning system works good. While no cleaning system will repair damaged groves after cleaning about 20 records over all I could hear some improvement on all of them. How much seemed to depend on the record. One record, after cleaning twice, I estimate I got about 75% cleaner playback. Most other I got maybe a 10% to 20% improvement. One thing I did notice was a slight improvement after the first play after cleaning. Also, in some cases the stylus would load up with lent during the first play. I think this may have come from the drying cloth. Be sure to check it after playing a side. HINT: A coffee cup makes a good drying rack. Just place the record label on the cup. This is also a good way to hold the record when wiping it with the drying cloth. HINT: Use distilled water. Less chance something will get left behind after drying.
