The ankle hoes on these were very small, much smaller than the other pair of these I got. I was not surprised that the larges were not long enough for me. I am 5'10" and have a long torso but even still these land well above my ankles. I knew that this was going to happen since they are made for shorter people. The fabric is quite thin and soft but not see through, you can, however, see your legs through them if there is a light behind you.
