It measures voltage (including crest factor, peak value, and K-factor); energy demand; frequency; power factor; displacement power factor; harmonics and harmonic distortion; phase angle; and active, reactive, and apparent power; and tracks events such as inrush current, sags and surges, overvoltage, and interruptions. The meter provides measurements in real time and accepts a CF (compact flash) card (sold separately) for recording readings to track changes in the individual electrical properties of a power system or the overall power quality provided by the system. The unit checks for proper wiring to help ensure measurement accuracy, and voltage and current can be displayed as a waveform. Measurements can be viewed on the meter's backlit, color LCD, which is readable in low light. All parameters are measured simultaneously, for an overall picture of power quality in the system. Two Yokogawa CW240 units can be connected to perform measurements on two power lines at the same time. Readings can be displayed in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese.
