I am a very heavy coffee drinker and I have been buying Death Wish since the first Super Bowl ad. I like DW, but it really doesn’t do that much for me as far as the caffeine buzz. I tried this and I definitely feel it.As for the taste, it’s growing on me. I read an article about how the people compare the taste of robusta beans to a burnt tire, and that’s all I could think about when I first tasted this. It doesn’t have a great flavor, but it’s not offensive; just not what I’m used to. If you want a sure fire caffeine buzz, this coffee will do the trick. I saw some other reviewers who mix this with an arabica coffee for the flavor, and that might work but I am not going to the trouble.As I’ve been exploring high caffeine coffees, I didn’t see many honest reviews on taste, so I thought I would give writing one a shot. The roast itself was surprisingly light compared to the other dark roast and espresso roast beans I have, and the beans themselves are quite dry, much less oily than most other beans.
