Two sides open up all the way. One of the narrower ends folds up all the way. One of the wider sides can be folded up all the way- but the flap does not run the entire length of that side, the width of that flap is about 80% of the length of that side. Your dog can still see out of that side of the crate. This allows you to open up either door. (My crate has a door on two sides- one door on the narrower side and one door on the wider side). The opposite narrow end has a small opening/window at the top that runs the length of that side. Not very big, but your dog could still see out of that end. The other wider side can not be opened up at all. I hope this description makes sense. **Q: Is this like tent material?** A: It is a thick material like a tent I would think. I have two dogs and my crate has a split in the middle so each had their own space. They never really slept too well together. But, after getting this cover they sleep from around 9 or so at night until 6 or so in the mornings. This has worked out better than anything we have done for our special little furry friends. I would recommend it. I leave the window open at all times on it thought. **Q: Will this keep my dog warm now that it’s winter she is an indoor dog?** A: It’s a nice heavy material but I’m not sure how well it would work for keeping warm.
