Damaged Enclosure *by J***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2019* Service:Item was dispatched about an hour from purchase and arrived by DHL the next morning. The item was well packaged in a generous amount of bubble wrap and was still sealed in plastic.Enclosure:The caliper comes in a plastic box. Unfortunately the rear side of the box was broken on arrival (which is not clear in the images because its broken but still connected and fell off when i closed it again), but doesnt really effect its ability to snap shut - however the thinner end of the caliper does slide through the hole! Other than that the plastic is sturdy, has a nice space for your thumb to go in to open it, and needs a good amount of force to open - meaning the seal is very good.The inside of the enclosure is lined with a thin sponge on the top and bottom. It is a little on the thin side and the caliper sits on top of it rather than inside, so the caliper can move/ rattle around if it isnt sandwiched between the sponges.Caliper:The caliper iteself is of very good quality - it has a good feel to it and a decent weight. The markings feel like they are engraved (but in all honesty I can't tell because it feels raised with my fingernail!).I used a feeler/ thickness gauge to test the accuracy of the calipers and its pretty good (see pictures). The gap and depth gauge also seem aligned by eye.The caliper has a maximum measurement of 15.24cm as stated and sits exactly at zero when fully closed.All in all im very happy with the caliper and would recommend.
