It's only a hair smaller than the clip boards we'd use to fold shirts when I worked in the mall, and the fact that it doesn't have the big clip means you can put the top of the board a little below the neck of the shirt. It makes them so much neater than just hand folding, and they stay folded much nicer if you tuck the bottom of the shirt up behind the sleeves so there's no "tail". It also makes fitting more shirts in my husband's travel bags much easier and they wrinkle less. The only thing I wish is that it was solid on both sides, rather that kind of hollowed out on one side with big plastic lines running through it, they just sometimes get in the way a bit, but it's in no way a dealbreaker. This is good quality plastic, nice and thick, and seems like it should take a beating.

**Q: Could you accomplish the same thing with a plastic clipboard?  That's what it looks like and I have a ton of those hanging around...for free...**
A: The issue for me was the "clip" of the clipboard.  If you can drill out the rivets and take it off, a clipboard will work fine. I found this shirt folding board very handy.  If you have a shop that sells Plexiglas, you might have them cut you a piece the right size, but it might cost as much.

A: There is a diagram on the board itself showing how it works.   You simply lay a shirt out and put the board on it to assist in folding the shirt neatly.

I don't know why anyone is saying this is too small. It's only a hair smaller than the clip boards we'd use to fold shirts when I worked in the mall, and the fact that it doesn't have the big clip means you can put the top of the board a little below the neck of the shirt. I fold my husband's L and XL t shirts and dress shirts on this board without a problem, just like I did back in my mall days. It makes them so much neater than just hand folding, and they stay folded much nicer if you tuck the bottom of the shirt up behind the sleeves so there's no "tail". It also makes fitting more shirts in my husband's travel bags much easier and they wrinkle less. This works pretty well and helps make folding shirts quicker, but it’s a little narrow and short for larger shirts. Still useful overall for keeping clothes neat.
