When you turn on Bluetooth to connect to the iPhone (this works just fine) all of the other functions on the clock turn off. So if you haven't set an alarm and you turn on Bluetooth, you cannot set the alarm until you turn off Bluetooth. Also if Bluetooth is on the alarm does NOT sound.
