You have to expand the item description to get the real measurements, which I made the mistake of not doing. It's actually only 17 inches wide. 2 inches isn't too big of a deal, but the product also came with a dent and scratches that I would not consider "normal wood variation". It just doesn't live up to the pictures shown. Frankly, I think they used pictures of another, similar item.I would normally return but it already took so long to get here (understandable) and I really don't want to wait to get a better item.
