Review: Sturdy and Durable for Outdoor Use, but Heavy to Handle - I used Fencer Wire Hardware Cloth for a chicken coop and outdoor run starting in April 2023, and it has held up very well. The wire is sturdy and durable and has been outdoors for a long time without rusting. Once installed, it provides a secure barrier and does exactly what it’s meant to do. That said, the edges are very sharp, so gloves are a must, and cutting it requires proper wire cutters. It’s also fairly heavy, which can make handling and installation a bit challenging, especially if you’re working alone. Overall, it worked well for outdoor projects and performed as expected. I’d recommend it if you need strong, reliable hardware cloth and are prepared for the tougher installation.
