The outer space design is great for young children without being "babyish" looking. The main compartment has plenty of space to hold lunch items and an ice pack to keep things cool. There is also a front zipper compartment that is great for holding napkins, utensils, or additional snacks. The bag is lightweight and I love that it comes with an adjustable strap--it can be carried on the shoulder if your child doesn't feel like carrying something by hand. The way it is designed allows it to be stored flat when not in use--takes up less storage space than previous "boxy" type lunch boxes we've used in the past.
