It has an internal battery that holds a charge for a fair amount of time. The guitar also transmits via Bluetooth. So, it doesn’t have to be plugged in to anything. **Q: Do you also release Android apps that are compatible with Jamstik 7?** A: In terms of platform support, it has been difficult for us to fully support the Android platform. While we did port our apps to Android in the past (and those legacy apps are still available on the Google Play Store) we have chosen to focus on iOS & the Google Chrome web browser first. Android has been a slow-growing ecosystem for MIDI devices, mostly due to the lack of low-latency audio support, 3rd party software development, and difficulty due to the variety of devices; many of which won't provide a good Jamstik experience. However, we do want as many users as possible to be able to enjoy the product, so our answer was to create the play.jamstik.com portal for any PC, Mac, or Chromebook users running the Chrome browser. The plan is to continue to evolve this web experience and port it over more fluidly to other platforms, including Android, in the future. Sorry to not be able to say yes, but limited resources make for tough decisions. The size does take a little bit of getting used to, and you can't use wireless headphones or else the latency is terrible. But all in, it works as expected. The google chrome lessons got me through the basic chords and it's been fun using it as a midi controller. Still using my acoustic guitar in the learning process, but I think there's a place for this product for beginners who are interested in producing music.Bonus points because the lessons are FREE.99. Didn't realize that when I first bought it and half expected there to be a subscription fee, so that was a perk. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Not recommended as a midi controller with PC *by V***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2019* I was primarily interested in using this as a midi controller with Presonus Studio One on my PC. The latency and accuracy is so bad that it is not usable for that purpose, and I have a high-end computer with plenty of memory and CPU.
