It does add a substantial bit of bulk to the phone, but this is the price you pay for added protection and so is perfectly understandable. One thing not so sturdy is the kickstand built into the back of the device. After only a few uses the supporting hinge broke away, and not through overbearing use might I add. The stand was actually one of the reasons why I decided to buy this case, as when I'm in bed it's quite useful to catch up on TV and watch movies without having to hold your phone or prop it up on a cereal bowl. After it had broken, I had to resort to doing just that.
