I think that is what you mean. One lever is to push toast down and the other lever is to raise the toast out. The slots are deeper and wider than other toasters. One of the reasons I bought it. It also fits great in a corner pf your counter. I tried other toasters and they just did not do the job for thicker cuts of bread or bagels. This one does. Very sleek and modern look. Thanks!** A: The actual true length is 32" from underneath orienting towards the front. This allows you to direct the cord either left or right from the back of the toaster. There are channels to thread the cord whichever way you want it to go. Mine extends approx 24" from the back to the outlet with the way I have it set up. I really like this toaster. Thank goodness we do actually use it lot so it was not a waste of money. We are enjoying toast faster than toaster oven now. I have had muffins come shooting out onto the floor. Its one of those kind of funny things thats not really if you realize you just missed your muffin : / ! Great toaster though. I wanted most watts I could get before they stop making them. It toasts quickly and evenly as well. The feature of having the right handle lifting the bread up further from the machine is a helpful feature especially when toasting smaller sized items. I find it useful that the unit is angled forward. It allows me to see the items I am toasting. The temperature dial works very well and once adjusted, toast comes out the same every time. The look and feel of this machine is one of quality. It has a brushed stainless steel face which matches the other stainless steel appliances in my kitchen. It is bigger than most of the economy 2 slice machines, but still fits nicely in the corner where my old toaster resided. It was well packed and is easy to set up. This is the finest toaster I have owned and I have received several 'cool toaster' comments when others have seen it. This was a great value for the money paid. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Love the design but it projectiles the toast *by A***Y on February 16, 2013* I keep buying this toaster for the design. But why have I had to replace it 2x? It dies within a year. The springs are set too high tension so I know when my toast has made that familiar sound of falling on the floor. (Means we have to keep a very clean floor.) We've devised a way to have the toast hit the shelf above and land on the shelf (usually) but I am thinking of making a little net devise, like a soccer goal, to keep it from flying.Sometimes it also doesn't like to toast both sides of the bread. So we set the toast darkness a little lower and flip it.So, why keep buying it? Amusement at flying toast shows? Maybe. Well, I have a shelf where it fits perfectly. It looks nice.
