For mine, there was no plastic film and when I placed then in the case, nothing happened. After watching a YouTube video, I saw how to pair them and got them paired to my phone. They sounded good, not great. When I put then back into the case, they would not disconnect. I had to disconnect then from my Bluetooth menu on my phone. I put them on the charger for an hour and when I tried to use them again, they had to be re-paired with my phone. Once again, they did not disconnect when returneded too the case. Very disappointed.
