They are warm and soft and looks great.I was afraid they will be too itchi, like some reviews said... so I tried them on right away when they came and they were just a bit itchi, just as much as you would expect for a wool product, but then I read the instructions that said to wash them before use... and guess what? After I washed them in a cold water and air dryied them, they became the softest socks! It's quite soft but has that teeny bit of wool stiffness, which I am pretty confident will soften with washing (by the way, I don't think you are supposed to put these in the dryer, just FYI!).They are very cute and make me feel pampered. As you can hopefully see in the photo, it has a lovely, noticeable knit pattern.I am a size 9 and these fit nearly perfectly, which means that going any larger might not work. I would say 9 1/2 is probably the upper limit.Don't know why people are saying they got 2 in the 3-pack. Mine came with 3 pairs.These would work just fine with most shoes, i.e. they aren't that thick. I usually wear mine with slippers so I get extra warmth and don't get the soles dirty. I have ski socks-- these aren't like those, which are very thick and warmer on their own, but can't be worn with most shoes.After wearing one pair multiple days without washing, it smells like NOTHING. That's what I love about wool!This is a great purchase if you want to treat yourself and feel pampered, and authenticity is important to you. I am thinking of getting more wool clothing.
