Everyone I talked to said I needed a burr grinder instead of a blade grinder for an even grind and better overnight brewing.I originally wanted to get an electric one but they are at least $100 for one that I trusted. I decided on this one because my brother has the same one and said he liked it but that it takes a long time to do it manually.Once it arrived, it came with the grinder, as well as a chart for different applications such as cold brewing, espresso, or cone filters, etc. This made it easy for determining how tight to make the burr.First you fill up the upper chamber and then put the handle on. Then, start cranking. Once I started do it, I realized there was an odd satisfaction with manually grinding it. It wasn’t difficult to do, took about 10 minutes (I could have probably grinded faster but was starting to enjoy it so I went a little slow.) You can see the grounds pile up in a little viewer window below.
