**Q: what size is the canvas?**
A: I am sorry I cannot say for sure because it was a gift. However I think they were either about 5 by 7 or 8 by 10 to the best of my memory. Hope that helps.

My daughter is 12 and she just started picking up the art of painting. This item is easy for her to pack and use. She has 8x10 canvasses and the flat ones that came with package, both fit. It's great if you want to sit on porch, on deck...anywhere...super easy.
