So far they haven't turned my finger green. The scent, at first, is overwhelming, but once the bomb is added to the bath it dilutes nicely. I only used the light one in the bath. You definitely have residue in your tub after. I didn't want to deal with scrubbing my tub again but wanted the ring so I dropped the black one in my sink to dissolve. Really glad I did as it stained my hands.
