A fraction measurement is needed of this, compared to the stuff at the grocery stores. I usually buy Celtic sea salt, because I know table salt is unhealthy, but had no idea that this brand and type of salt was so good! Literally one grain fills your entire mouth with taste!!! I use it in my bread baking now exclusively. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A nice briny salt that is still gentle *by A***C on Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2019* The salt has a nice ocean-y, briny, seaweed flavor without being really aggressively salty (if this makes sense...). Using a pinch of this salt is a great way to elevate other flavors in the dish, and I'll use this for seasoning proteins early. The seaweed used in the making of this salt adds a bit of umami, plus seaweeds can have natural MSG, which amplifies tastes. I'm not a scientist, but I'd bet some MSG is present in small safe amounts, and this will help the salt bring out more flavors in foods it is used on. The salt is very fine grained, so use your fingers and restraint when seasoning.The packaging is first rate. A sturdy plastic tub with a durable small plastic spoon enclose a nice cloth bag with the salt in plastic wrapping inside. Everything is meant to protect the product, and it does. The origin, mineral content and grind or natural state make for subtle differences. Amabito no Moshio is intensely concentrated with a fine texture.
