Alarm is loud enough for those with good hearing but wish the alarm could be set a little louder for those hard of hearing. Setting the time and alarm is easy and written instructions are clear. If you hate to read instructions, the video is quite helpful as well. The colorful light display is nice but wasn't a necessity for me. Another convenient feature is the ability to "Pause" the alarm each morning which automatically resets the alarm for the next day so no worries about forgetting to set the alarm. (Who hasn't done that at one time or another?) The photo was taken about six feet away with the display set at maximum brightness.

Needed large, bright display and loud alarm. Display is great. Alarm is loud enough for those with good hearing but wish the alarm could be set a little louder for those hard of hearing. The clock functions well. But the manual is not that clear, especially regarding how to open the battery door. I finally figured it out using a coin. What I like about it is the daylight savings time button that make it easy when clock changing time comes around.
