Everything i find is a poly blend and has that gross sheen that looks really cheap. This looks like an heirloom duvet that your cool granny handed down to you. I love the comfort of real cotton. Only gets better after washing. The frilly doo-dads held up in the wash which i didn't really expect. Our dog sort of gets it dirty often so I'm happy that it looks even better washed and with a few crinkles in it, real boho looking! Also it lightened up the room a lot. We had a grey duvet before this and i like the vibe in the room more now!Wish it came with shams. I bought it for a coverlet for spring and summer, not to use as a duvet, so that might make a difference in use. It looks SO GOOD on my bed, and love how the fringe frames the mattress. She wanted a duvet from Urban Outfitters but they were way too expensive. This one is even better in person than in pictures--she absolutely loves it. It is high quality cotton and super soft. We washed it inside out (and zipped it) on cold and dried on low. Lots of fluff came off so needed to take a lint roller to it before using. Seems to be just for the first time drying though. The frayed edge fluffed up after washing and it looks awesome! The color is great too- a nice cream color.
