Ghirardelli is a really good quality chocolate and I use them often. Good luck on your hot cocoa bombs. **Q: Can these wafers be frozen?** A: We do not recommend freezing chocolate. It will cause discoloration and if water is present during thawing, the quality will deteriorate. She's got a thriving side hustle and I make the hot chocolate bombs as gifts for friends/family. The point is that these chocolate wafers are very easy to use whether you are a pro (neighbor) or amateur (me). They don't need to be tempered and melt very easily. Being Ghirardelli, these taste like real chocolate. They come in one giant bag inside the box so if you need to divide it up like me, you'll have to find your own (ziploc) bags. They came in perfect condition with no melting. This chocolate melts SO SMOOTH, and though the description says no tempering needed, I tempered them anyway since it was my first time using them and I was unfamiliar. I tempered the melting wafers in a KitchenAid Precise Heat bowl, final temperature 88 degrees F, and every single strawberry produced a smooth, flawless finish that set rapidly, dried to a glossy finish, had a satisfying snap to its bite, and the outstanding flavor you can expect from Ghirardelli.
