The stock regulator spring wears out over time, leaving you with lower fuel pressure which can be detrimental to your injectors. Running both with the regulated return kit will ensure your truck is getting adequate fuel along with fuel pressure. I have both and my 6.0 is an absolute powerhouse. **Q: Turning adjustment screw in lower psi or incresase psi?** A: Turning the adjuster screw in will increase the PSI. Screwing outward will decrease the psi **Q: What pressure will the blue spring achieve with out adjustment. What is the best pressure to have? is 60 the most desirable? Or can it be higher? M** A: If you only install a blue spring into the factory housing you ll get 45-55psi you ll want to test pressure under load aswell as idle. I suggest gillette fuel spring but but you may have to remove 1 or 2 coils. This will achieve 70-90psi or (or more Thats why you may need to remove 1 or 2 coils ) I ve had my truck at 100psi it runs like a top Quiet and more power but its harder on injector o rings once above 90psi. But if its a daily driver it ll be fine. Its when you give the orings a chance to dry out like from the truck sitting is when they tend to rupture or crack. **Q: What's the optimal pressure setting?** A: The factory pump setting is a constant 45 psi. I've got mine set to 55 and have no issues. It will eat up the brass coupler where the blue spring inserts and push it all the way in to the fuel bowel. My gauge kept acting up after installing this kit. I went and disassembled the kit and found out the adjuster screw is limited to adjustment as the brass coupler can only sit flush with the housing and can’t be pushed back with the blue spring (obviously).
