What I like the most is that is is smooth to operate and it holds the bits securely. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very nice quality *by W***B on March 9, 2022* Good heavy duty chuck. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good despite made in China *by H***7 on June 1, 2022* These Jacobs ball bearing chucks have been made in China for many years now. Do they compare to the old ones that were made in USA? No, they don't. Alot of people will find and purchase an old, used USA made chuck (Ebay) and rebuild them with kits available from Jacobs. That being said, the one I purchased is very nice. It was a bit gritty at first when opening and closing, but with a little gear lube and manipulation it became much, much smoother. The most impressive thing I discovered about this chuck is in regard to run-out. With a 3/8" gauge pin mounted in the chuck, there was only .0003" run-out measured 1/2" below the chuck jaws. I performed this test several times to verify my results. Very impressive! The last thing I'd like to mention is that I purchased this chuck with the "Used - Acceptable" option from Amazon Warehouse. $90.33 vs $235.00 for the new option. I do not see anything "used" about the chuck I received at all.
