These pheromone traps come rather satisfyingly into the latter category. They send out a scent that smells like a lady moth who wants to mate, and prove irresistible to Mr Moth. He comes flying along and splat, he's stuck to the sticky paper. It's not kind but remember your cashmere and carry on. These are super-easy to use: simply peel off the protective paper from the front, then carefully holding the non-sticky edge peel the strip off the back so it sticks in the box. The box has small vents in it that allow access to the moth but cleverly prevent your clothes from sticking to it. The moth-box is detectable to moths within 70 cubic metres.
