I spent the better part of an evening wrestling it into my truck, bringing it home, and then wrestling it back onto the ground, but at the end of it all I had a free saw.Well, there's nothing more expensive than a free tool (except maybe a free car). That old Kalamazoo needed everything-- a new motor, new bearings in the blade guide, a hydraulic cylinder rebuild, etc.I worked on it just enough to get it cutting fairly well and began using it. The blade that came with it wasn't great, but it went through aluminum and mild steel reasonably well-- better than a hacksaw, at any rate.One day I heard a loud POP and found the blade had finally given up. I only use this saw occasionally, and it's for hobby use, so I wanted an economical blade that would handle a lot of different materials. After searching around I narrowed my choices down to this blade and a comparable one on McMaster-Carr. After looking at reviews, I chose this one.So far I've used it to cut aluminum, plastic, and mild steel. I think a couple of pieces of tool steel worked their way in there too. It's been flawless so far-- the cut quality is good and surprisingly straight considering how wonky this old saw is. The saw doesn't have flood coolant so I give it a few drops of cutting oil during each cut.For $22, I don't think you could do much better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Nice cut *by G***D on Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2024* This fit our 1950's saw perfectly.
