There are great for a dark room but if your looking for a soft light this isn’t your bulb. They are good quality just way brighter than I anticipated. They work fine - standard twist and lock install/remove. These are our kitchen lights - on for a good part of the day and into the night. A couple only lasted about 2-years. Well under the advertised hours. Meh - they’re inexpensive as least. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright! But Very COOL *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2019* I bought these to replace halogen bulbs in a fixture above the fireplace, which seemed to burn out quickly. I love LEDs (and the energy / cost savings!) and I generally prefer cool, white light, so I chose the Cool option. They were easy to install and shaped just like my old halogen GU10s. That said, even as someone who prefers cool white light to warm yellow light, these are MUCH cooler than I had expected.They're a great value, so I may end up buying some more in the warmer version for the winter.
