Review: Best alarm clock so far - This clock's sunrise feature really wakes me up, ready to go, without morning haze. That in itself is amazing. Once you read the instructions it is easy to set up and control. Compared with oval sunrise clocks, this round one has 2 alarms, adjustable sunrise time, somewhat adjustable alarm sound (I put a piece of tape on the back to get it just rightback), and the low light display is visible in my bedroom but not too bright at night. Settings are positive microswitches around the clock circumference, not fiddly touch switches on the front. The stand is steady and keeps the clock from falling over when dusted. Ther round face is smaller than the oval clocks' and it looks better on my nightstand. Otherwise, good alarm noises (I like waves&seagulls, wind chimes, song birds, rushing water, piano&birds, Nola on piano, and radio in that order). Radio fidelity good for voice with antenna wire extended. Good sunrise alarm progression from deep red through orange and yellow, to white, even at the 10 minute setting. I do not use the multicolor or sunset settings so i cannot comment. Well worth the price. Durabiliby flash! my dog savaged my clock in a fit of jealousy, knocked it off the table, and managed to get the face off -- to my surprise, it still worked fine and the face popped right on, good as new. Review: Good product, some weird things during operation. - This is a great product. It definitely works. It wakes you up gradually and I find the integrated sounds soothing, however the sound starts abruptly at the time you have set the alarm and does not gradually increase in sound with the light. Also, if you try to snooze the sound, the whole lamp goes off and 5 minutes later rushes through red to white in an instant with the sound coming back on - which I thought was a weird way to do it. Also, it should be noted that the alarm puts itself off after 15 minutes (after the set alarm time) - which I also thought was weird as normally you would have to put off the alarm manually, to insure that you are actually awake. However I did set a back-up alarm, as I am a snoozer and was not sure if the light would work. I would definitely recommend setting a backup alarm if you are someone who does not wake up easily. On the model I got, the battery does not seem to make contact and therefore there is no battery back-up (I tried with two batteries and checked that the batteries were functioning by putting them in my bathroom scale - I also tried to force it to make contact by using tin foil, but no luck). This is unfortunate, as power outages are a frequent reality in South Africa. However, all in all a good product that I would recommend to a friend.

I am 24 and I have had this little gadget for a bit now and can truly say I have enjoyed using this in the mornings. It is good for any age. I am no longer startled by the sound of my alarm! The idea is that it gradually makes it brighter in the room over a period of time so you wake up feeling refreshed. Great concept! Out of the package, it was easy to set up and get going. It was about the size of my entire hand. It did take a bit of time to understand how to use it, so make sure you read the directions! I loved using the radio (good sound too!) and having ocean sounds to fall asleep too. The clock features different levels of brightness, which was awesome to choose. PROS: - Useful for sleep/alarm, nightstand light, or reading light - Calming to wake up AND fall asleep - Features nature sounds - Ability to set and toggle between weekday AND weekend alarms - FM Radio has great sound - Different levels of brightness - Can be woken up via sounds or radio - Long enough power cord to plug in to wall CONS: - Not intuitive to set up - Function buttons could be better labeled Overall thoughts: Buy it! It is worth a shot. It has been a different way to wake up and start my mornings, which I have very much enjoyed.
